Spiritual Lives Of Women Statement Of Support To A Mother's Vocation

When you consider that the first to the tomb of Jesus were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome than you can begin to understand the power of a woman’s, a mom’s witness.

When you consider that the Blessed Virgin Mary is shown in scripture, not as this weak little woman-child but a strong, exceptional Jewish mother then you can begin to understand the power of a mom’s vocation.

When you consider women received the tongue of fire and preached just as the men did, Acts 2:17 then you can begin to understand the power of God’s call.

Nurturing A Mother's Faith

Motherhood and God

Home As Sacred Space
Planting the Seed of Faith, Breaking Ground, Cultivating, Gathering
Monday we explore how our home is the first place we experience the love of God, the love of family and a place of rest and refuse.  As moms we know that home is a paradox, it is the source of  consistency but is always in a state of flux; and it’s that flux that makes it important to try and have a time for the sacred everyday.  And the sacred includes care for ourselves: Body, Mind and Spirit.

Using Ignatian practices we, as moms, can find more of the peace of God in our lives.  We see how these practices can help us care for mind, body and spirit.
Living Love

I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Jn 13:31-33a, 34-35

On Tuesday we look at each day of the week can have a special activity and spiritual focus.  By Living Love you bring to the world a greater sense of connection and create a world where love rules over hate.
